Here We Grow Again: Another Hotel Planned to Rise in FiDi

A 22-story hotel with 189 rooms is being planned for 439 Washington St. in the Financial District, reports the San Francisco Business Times. Peninsular Realty LLC has submitted plans for the hotel, and they've tapped Stanton Architecture to design it. This isn't Stanton's first hospitality project—they are the firm behind Hotel Zetta and they are working on another in SoMa.

Google Maps shows that there's a two-story building on the site. The SFBT reports that it dates back to 1907 and has been "heavily altered." The new hotel will reportedly have 4,500 square feet of retail space with 90,000 square feet set aside for lodging. The project's estimated cost is $35 million.
