The last time we checked in on DM Development's building planned for 2290 Third St. in Dogpatch, renderings were still sketchy and the project was making its way through Planning Commission approvals. Now, two years later and with construction ready to kick off, a clearer picture has been released of the Heller Manus and Owen Kennelly-designed building. The updated designs still show a boxy exterior composed of modern bay windows and industrial materials, but now the rooftop deck and an early interior rendering showing views over the bay are also on display.
When it is complete, the building will include 71 units across six floors, parking for 34 cars, and enough room for 71 bike racks. The roof deck, which looks out to the Bay Bridge, will include fire pits, a dog run, and a movie screening area. The interior rendering doesn't provide much of an idea of what the units will actually look like, but they're guaranteed to be pretty luxe.
