Yesterday, we featured apartments that go for $4,000 per month. Earlier this week, we wrote about a Marin County rental that is using $6,500 as a starting suggestion. Today we bring you a home that is asking for an odd number: $6,995, and it's a beauty. First of all, it is located at 311 Cumberland St., and that's considered to be one of the more pleasant blocks in the city by many. It's just a steep block-and-a-half from Dolores Park., between Sanchez and Noe Streets. But once you make the climb, you are rewarded with some really fine city and bay views from the large deck off the master bedroom. The sunny interior stands up to the view with nicely chosen finishes, fixtures, and appliances.
The two-bedroom, two-bath home has an office, living room, dining room, and nicely done kitchen (new countertops and a high-end range). There's a garage and washer and dryer on site. And, since the owners will consider pets under 20 pounds, you can bring your little dog too. There's an open house this Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m., and we are betting elbow room will be at a premium in the 1,172-square-foot home.
