The Warriors have officially purchased from Salesforce the 12-acre Mission Bay site where they plan to build a new arena. A week after reaching a major agreement with nearby UCSF on the arena, the Warriors shelled out a reported $150 million for the site. They still have some government approval hurdles to get through—and a potential lawsuit from the anti-arena Mission Bay Alliance—but the purchase shows that the team has a high level of confidence that the arena will move forward.
