Graffito Justice

Eight muralists have filed a federal complaint against Zephyr Real Estate, alleging that the company used unauthorized reproductions of their artwork in a 2013 calendar promoting properties for sale. The images were lifted from the website SF Mural Arts without being licensed from the artists. The need for permission "didn't occur to me or the person that does our marketing for us," Zephyr president Randall Kostick told SF Weekly. [SF Weekly; SF Mural Arts]
