Now that the New York subway authority has posted PSAs meant to fight the scourge of manspreading, will San Francisco follow suit? The Chronicle wonders if SF is too laid back a place to attempt the regulation of crotch vertices, though Muni could surprise us yet if riders sound off about the issue in a forthcoming survey. As much as we love New York's, um, cheeky signage, it seems better suited to validating the maligned than changing the behavior of riders who are already oblivious to their surroundings.
