Transbay Tax Wire

A controversial tax on property in the Transbay District was passed last night despite protestations from developers who object to increases in tax amounts that have accompanied rising property values. Eight Transbay property owners were able to vote on the tax; the three developers opposing it did not vote. The tax is set to help pay for the new Transit Center, although the dissenting developers could still file a lawsuit. [SF Business Times; previously]
