Eichler Makeovers

Beneath the contemporary sheen and washed-out light of the photo at right, you'll notice the trademark wood-plank ceiling and globe lights of an Eichler. A graphic designer and her family remodeled the Sunnyvale home to amp up the natural light, tearing down a wall in the main living area and doing the floors in a pale shade of beigey nothingness. The owners added back some midcentury goodness with an Eames plywood lounge chair and matching coffee table. [Curbed National]
