Last Week's Biggest Sales: A Twofer at the Eichler-Built Summit

Listed for: $6.25M
Received: $6M
Size: 2-bed, 2-bath condo
Location: 999 Green St #2905, Russian Hill
The skinny: Atherton-based billionaire and Business Wire founder Lorry Lokey's pied-à-terre at the Eichler-built Summit was, once upon a time, two different units. Lokey bought the Russian Hill twofer back in 2006 for $4.6 million, and when he put it on the market in October, he pledged to donate the proceeds from the sale to charity. It's the one time we're truly sorry that a property didn't go for over asking.

Listed for: $4.19M
Received: $4.05M
Size: 3-bed, 2.5-bath, 2,590-square-foot condo
Location: 1037 Vallejo St, Russian Hill
The skinny: This penthouse condo in a six-unit building on the crest of Russian Hill was originally listed for $4.19 million back in September and, after failing to sell, took a pricechop down to its eventual sale price. Pros: vaulted ceilings and a skylight or two; cons: a strange relationship with drapery that we hope the new owners will discontinue.

Listed for: $2.995M
Received: $3.817M
Size: 5-bed, 4.5-bath single-family home
Location: 225 San Anselmo Ave, St Francis Wood
The skinny: We were agog over this place when it landed on the market just a month ago, and agog all over again when it sold last week for $822K over its asking price. Before landing on the market, the home hadn't changed hands in 39 years, and the prior owners did a remarkable job of preserving its details, from the rich wood-beam ceilings to the geometric tile and stained-glass windows. We voiced mild objections to an overly purple bathroom, but what can we say, honestly? It's the exception that proves the zomg.
