Developer Pacific Waterfront Partners was expected to submit new plans for its controversial 8 Washington site by the end of 2014, but according to a letter sent by the Port of San Francisco to a neighborhood group, no proposal has yet appeared. The developer's first proposal for the site, which sits between the Ferry Building and Coit Tower, was voted down at the ballot box in 2013. New designs for the site are expected to be shorter than the original plans and have more below-market-rate housing included. [SF Business Times]
