South Park 2.0

SoMa's South Park has served as a hub for the tech community ever since the dot-com boom of the 1990s, but the park hasn't gotten a makeover since the 1970s and is getting pretty run-down. This year the it's finally set to get a $3.5 million renovation designed by landscape architect David Fletcher, who plans to create gathering spaces in the sunniest parts of the park. Many local tech companies use the park for meetings, so creating room for "collaborative work spaces" is a key part of renovation plans. [SFGate]
