Revivals

It's been a couple of years since Mid-Market's Renoir Hotel was purchased and scheduled for a rehab, and now it is well on its way to becoming San Francisco Proper, a 135-room boutique hotel. A $40 million renovation will leave the hotel with three restaurants, a 4,500-square-foot restaurant and bar on the rooftop, and interiors designed by celebrity decorator Kelly Wearstler. The historic building has been closed since April 2013 and sustained $1.2 million in damages and property loss after a fire last August. [SF Business Times; previously]
