For $1.6M, Sliver Building Condo over Dance Club Is All About That Bass

New, 2 comments

SoMa's Sliver Building was given a makeover last year by Martin Building Company in collaboration with Lundberg Design, and a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo in the building is now on the market asking $1.6 million. The unit is pure industrial chic, with exposed concrete walls, huge windows, and big beams throughout. Even the shower manages to have an industrial feel thanks to its stone-tiled walls and metal-lined bathtub. The condo takes up a full floor and stretches over 1,559 square feet of space.

The condo comes with parking and direct elevator access. However, despite the sexiness of the Sliver Building's makeover, its units haven't all flown out the door. The building's $4.5 million penthouse took a price chop back in November and is now off the market, apparently without selling (though it did recently pop up on Craigslist seeking $18,000/month in rent). Although the listings for Sliver Building condos trumpet their location above Mint Plaza and its Blue Bottle coffeeshop and collection of restaurants, commenters have pointed out that downstairs dance club Mezzanine pumps out bass that can be heard every night from the apartments.
