Impeccable St. Francis Wood Home Sells for $822K Over Asking

When the Mediterranean home at 225 San Anselmo in St. Francis Wood hit the market earlier this month, we were totally enchanted by its impeccable upkeep and intricate designs. It seems like we weren't the only ones to fall in love with the place, because it just sold for $822K over its initial ask of $2.995 million. The final $3.817 million sale price reflects the charm of the house, which has five bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, and delightful details like a hand-painted wood-beamed ceiling, tiling, and stained glass.

The house hadn't changed hands for 39 years, but unlike most homes that have been off the market for such a long time, it was in perfect shape (with the exception of a somewhat hideous pink powder room). It lasted only 12 days before going into contract. The lucky new owners will enjoy a manicured lawn and back garden, leafy views out to Lake Merced, and glimpses of the Pacific Ocean.
