Mission Street's Vida condos officially opened for move-ins last week, and two units have already popped up as very, very expensive rentals on Craigslist. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom condos are both asking an astounding $7,499 per month in rent. Because the building is new, the condos are, of course, not rent controlled. One posting that was featured in a post from neighborhood blog Uptown Almanac has now been flagged for removal, but the other is still live and mentions that a secure parking garage, washer/dryer, and high-end finishes are included in the rent.
As residents begin to move in, Vida has sold 84 of its one- and two-bedroom units and has 30 units still up for sale. Remaining condos include junior one-bedrooms, which start at 494 square feet and $644,000, one-bedrooms starting at 631 square feet and $679,000, and two-bedrooms starting at at 872 square feet and $936,000. The priciest unit still for sale is a 1,521-square-foot two-bedroom that includes parking for $1.865 million. All condos have exposed brick ceilings and columns, Bosch and Bertazzoni appliances, quartz countertops and porcelain-tiled bathrooms.
