Pac Heights Wallpaper Addict Covers Its Tracks, Slashes $900K

When the classically elegant four-bedroom Pacific Heights home at 2118 Vallejo Street first hit the market back in April asking $8.85 million, it stood out for its extreme overuse of patterned wallpaper. The home went off the market in June, but is now back with fresh photography that leaves out most of the wallpaper shots, less stodgy staging, and a new $7.95 million price tag. The oriental rugs and heavy wood furniture have disappeared along with the $900K from the price. The house feels brighter, although still formal and traditional, from the stately wooden doors to the grand entryway to the gold-accented bathrooms. Tall lead-glass windows and leaded French-paned doors are among the home's best features, and they stand out more with the new staging. A backyard with an English garden theme is just as carefully manicured as the rest of the property.
