Alert! Curbed SF Seeks an Oakland Contributor. Is It You?

Effective immediately, Curbed SF is seeking a freelance contributor based in the East Bay. Interested? Read on.

You must love real estate and neighborhood news, because the majority of this gig involves blogging about such topics. Just as importantly, you're hungry to discover and write about great homes, scour the Web to find one singular gem of a story, master the art of searching Craigslist, and want to write about both the rental and for-sale market. Absolutely crucially, you must live in the East Bay—ideally Oakland, where so much of the action is these days. We're looking for someone who knows his or her way around the neighborhoods of Oakland and Berkeley, who can watch the market with an eye that is critical and a spirit that is playful.

Social media chops—like, you live on Twitter and love it—are also a plus. We're closed on weekends, and this would be a 3-5 posts per week freelance gig.

Interested? No need to dust off the resume. Just send an email to sally@curbed.com with a paragraph about yourself, a paragraph about why you'd like the job, and anything else you think would grab our interest (past writing experience, perhaps?). Put "Oakland freelance contributor" in the subject line. If we're into it, we'll respond quickly with more details. (If you're employed in the real estate industry, alas, we can't use you. But we still love you.) Thank you!
