Exit Through the Leasing Office

In effort to squeeze in housing wherever possible, an unnamed developer is proposing 12 market-rate units on a small parking lot jammed between a clothing store and the 101 offramp at Ninth and Bryant in SoMa. If the project moves ahead, tenants would have commanding views of, yes, the freeway. The site has some obstacles—notably air quality and seismic issues—and would need a zoning variance to build to its proposed 40-foot height. [SF Examiner]
