Disaster Wire

In their monthlong spree of Loma Prieta anniversary coverage, San Francisco Magazine put together this guide to assembling an earthquake kit. It's anxiety-provoking to even think about tackling the DIY version, and rather expensive to shell out for a KQED pledge big enough to net you one for free, so we're glad that someone went to the trouble to research one for us. As you'd guess, stockpiled water is essential, but a wine stash is awfully nice, too. [SF Mag]
