Watch This Smartypants Stalk the Apple UFO with a UAV

New, 1 comment

Because security at Apple's Silicon Valley HQ is tight and employees are even tighter-lipped, it can be hard to get a handle on how construction is progressing on the spaceship/donut/midcentury motor hotel Norman Foster is building in Cupertino. So of course some smartass geared up a DJI Phantom 2 drone to get a read on Foster's rather suburban attempt at SETI starchitecture. So far, the footprint of the future building is quite clear; our sister site the Verge points out that it's looking more and more like a landing strip. Perhaps it's just the season—and, ah, the drought—but from drone height, the plot is looking more like a certain playa in the desert. Lord Norm, we never took you for a Burner!
