Hopscotch Wire

The Tenderloin, which as the Chronicle helpfully points out is "more known for hustlers than hopscotch," is about to get two fantastic new playgrounds. At Civic Center Plaza, a $5 million grant will be used to completely revitalize two fenced-in play areas with an imaginative new design. A few blocks away, Boeddeker Park is finishing up its $8.5 million renovation, which will bring a basketball court, a new clubhouse, a tai chi plaza, and a soccer lawn. [SFGate]
