Recycling centers that refund bottle deposits are disappearing from San Francisco, where they often face evictions and neighborhood opposition. Which is why one center owner in the Bayview is preparing to launch a recycling shuttle. After Ors Csaszar was blocked from opening a new center in SoMa this year, he hatched a plan to shuttle people to his original Bayview facility. Csaszar procured a bus from last month's Terminator shoot (as one does!) and proceeded to rip out half the seats to make more room for cargo. The recycle-mobile will launch September 29 with stops in Chinatown and Upper Market. [SF Examiner/Photo via Mike Koozmin]
