Photo-Stalking the PARK(ing) Day Exploits of San Franciscans


Today was PARK(ing) Day, the annual DIY parklet fest in which people sit for hours in parking spaces without being in cars. All over the city folks descended on automobile-size rectangles of asphalt with plots of grass, planter boxes, paper-tube sculptures and, in one case, a tire swing. We watched it all go down on Instagram and the Twitter, so here now is a parklet-size roundup of our city's yearly attempt at instigating the ultimate pocket street party.
