Wardrobe Change for Proposed Condos at 1900 Mission

With new condos popping up all over the Mission District, it's no surprise that the auto-body shop at 1900 Mission will be bulldozed to make way for more new residences. The site was purchased back in 2013 for a cool $1.3M, and plans to construct a new six-story building with nine residential units were revealed shortly thereafter. Upon review of the proposal, the Planning Department recommended that the design and development team, KSDG, change the design to better suit the site's prominent corner location. The team has since given the building a makeover. The new 1900 Mission looks pretty much like the old one, save for a new color scheme and more generous windows for the corner condos. It'll feature the same unit count as the previous proposal, as well as 1,670 square feet of commercial space, 650 square feet of ground-floor retail, and eight parking spaces. In addition to revealing the project's new look, KSDG provides detailed layouts of the narrow building's studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units.
