Free Wi-Fi was supposed to make its way to 31 San Francisco parks, plazas, and rec centers by last April courtesy of a grant from Google, but as of last week the program was delayed, with no firm launch date. Now the city has announced that the wireless Internet will be ready to use by September. Don't get ready to "work from home" in Dolores Park just yet, though—installation there will have to wait until Dolores's major makeover has finished. [SF Examiner; previously]
