Back in early 2008, just as the housing market was about to crash, a three-bedroom penthouse at the brand-new and very luxe building the Greenwich sold for $2.125 million. The penthouse had only 1,468 square feet of indoor space but also boasted a stunning fourth bedroom 450-square-foot roof deck. Despite the deck and the condo's vaulted ceilings, expansive views, and prime location between Cow Hollow and Russian Hill, its value fell victim to the housing crash. When it resold for the first time last year, it barely topped its 2008 price, receiving $2.2 million. Now the penthouse is back on the market again with an asking price of only $1.995 million, although we assume that the low ask is a marketing ploy intended to incite bidding wars. It also comes with a custom built-in bar, two fireplaces, and parking for two cars.
