A fire broke out at the Renoir Hotel shortly after noon today. Construction crews were inside working on the Kor Group's $40M renovation of the 1926 1909 Renaissance Revival hotel, which is being revamped in collaboration with celebrity interior designer Kelly Wearstler. The blaze was spreading throughout the building, according to the dispatcher; seven construction workers have gone to the hospital. No word yet on the extent of the damage.
