New Mission Crash Pad Would Attract the Startups of … 2018?

A developer has submitted a Preliminary Project Assessment for 69 new housing units combined with space for retail, PDR (that's production, distribution, and repair), and "small-business offices"—yes, startups! The development would consist of two buildings that are proposed to rise on what is now a parking lot in the largely industrial northern side of the Mission. The first is set to be five stories and would include 29 two-bedrooms units, 10 one-bedrooms, and 24 studios, along with retail, a landscaped courtyard, and a roof deck. The second building would be three stories and would have 6,090 square feet of PDR space and 8,200 feet of, again, "small enterprise workspace." Axis Development Group, the company that put forward the proposal, says it's too soon to discuss details.
