Soft Sell: V20 on Valencia Quietly Announces Pre-Registration

Nothing about V20, the 18-condo building on its way to the corner of 20th and Valencia, has made a splash so far. The design by Kerman Morris Architects won't win any design awards, but there is general agreement that it is far better than the gas station that used to occupy the site. The project broke ground last year without any splashy ceremonies or marketing. And now, V20 has quietly launched a new website and put up signs around its construction site announcing pre-registration. The condos are a mix of two- and three-bedrooms and average 1,300 square feet of space. There will be floor-to-ceiling windows, balconies, and a common roof garden. Eight of the condos are designed as two-level penthouses with an additional private roof deck topping each unit. All of the penthouse-style floor plans have three bedrooms and average 1,565 square feet. Although everything about V20 so far has been quiet and understated, we have a feeling that the pricing—which isn't out yet—will be a different story.
