A new poll out from Atlantic Media and Siemens finds that suburban Americans are more satisfied with the places they live than are their urban counterparts. Among the more than 1,600 adults surveyed in the State of the City Poll, 84 percent of suburbanites rated their communities excellent or good, compared with 75 percent of urbanites (and 78 percent of rural dwellers). Age plays a role here: the younger you are, the more likely you are to find fault with your surroundings. [CityLab]
