Potrero Project Passes

Last week the Planning Commission approved a project at 645 Texas Street, which will demo a few existing industrial structures and add a five-story building with 91 units, 600 square feet of retail, 65 parking spots, and lots of open space with a courtyard and decks. Local unions came out to support the project because of the construction jobs it'll create, while a few neighbors complained about the height. In the end the commission approved the project with a condition they scale down the roof decks. [SFGovTV; previously]
