On a nondescript block in the Richmond, an equally nondescript Edwardian sold for $908K at the very end of 2012. The big mustard yellow house was subsequently overhauled and has now reemerged as its new self. The renovation took the home from 2,030 square feet to 3,500 and from three bedrooms to four. Molding and a fireplace have been revealed and touched up, the overgrown backyard has been transformed into a tidy outdoor space, and the basement has been finished. This is far from the worst flip we've seen. But it is now asking $2.796 million, more than three times its last sale price. That's a hefty sum for a home that sits just off of Geary Boulevard and a tremendous $1.888 million jump in under two years.
