The San Francisco Bay Area Renters' Federation (yes, that acronym does work out to be SFBARF) is a grassroots group of local renters who testify in favor of new residential construction in the city. The organization represents renters who would benefit from juicing the housing supply and serves as a counterpoint to the anti-development neighborhood groups that have traditionally been the most vocal at meetings and hearings. The federation will put in an appearance at this week's Planning Commission meeting to support proposed new housing at 645 Texas Street and 19-25 Mason Street. [SFBARF]
