Size: 3-bed, 3-bath, 3,045-square-foot condo
Location: 2210 Vallejo St, Pacific Heights
The skinny: No surprise here: After going on the market in June, this full-floor condo at George Applegarth's Schilling Place went for $305K over asking. With alcoved bookcases, a living-room fireplace, and wall-to-wall carpeting that somehow looks inviting, this place walks exactly the line between formal and comfy that a condo should. The bay views from the Juliet balcony in the kitchen are particularly good.

Size: 2-bed, 2.5-bath, 1,670-square-foot condo
Location: 188 Minna St, Unit 23C, Yerba Buena
The skinny: Achieving the kind of symmetry that befits a residence in the St. Regis, this condo went for its exact asking price of $3.15M. It last sold in 2006 for a now-reasonable-seeming $2.4M, and comes with plenty of reasons to leave your room, like the St. Regis's spa, Jacuzzi, yoga studio, and zen terrace. Inside, the unit is your basic bland modern cocoon, broken up by some sizable honed limestone window benches. The kitchen is rather tiny, but the lucky buyers will find plenty of extra storage for their unused china in the enormous walk-in closet.

Size: 2-bed, 2.5-bath, 3-car 2,616-square-foot single-family home
Location: 14 Glover St, Russian Hill
The skinny: Well, that was fast. In two weeks flat, this two-bedroom Russian Hill house sold for $420K over asking. It last sold in 2011 for $2.275M (at a loss, apparently! The seller had plunked down $2.31M in 2005), so that's an increase of $840K in just over three years. For a place that has more parking spots than bedrooms, that's a pretty steep rebound.
