If you combine all 205,130 parcels of land underneath our fair city, the value adds up to about $168 billion, assessor-recorder Carmen Chu announced today. The official number includes things like fancy machinery in its scope, for a grand total of $180 billion—a 6 percent increase over last year. All SF neighborhoods saw a boost in assessed value, but SoMa, Financial District, and Mission Bay led the pack. Those last two, along with, unsurprisingly, Pacific Heights, made the largest year-over-year gains. [Curbed inbox]
