Fun with urban planning

To call attention to what they see as Mayor Ed Lee's so-so record on supporting transit and enriching pedestrian life, the folks at Streetsblog SF have created rich, "tasteful" renderings of a tiny bronze Mayor Lee alighting on a parking meter. The renderings show Lee as a smiling, effusive, mostly disrobed version of the Spreckles statue in Union Square. "In some parallel universe, San Francisco may replace the ... monument with Mayor Ed Lee on a parking meter," they write. "But not in this world."
