Last Week's Biggest Sales: Prices Hit the Snooze Button

Listed for: $3.3M
Received: $3.43M
Size: 3-bed, 3-bath, 3,424-square-foot single-family home
Location: 290 Avila St, Marina
The skinny: This sizable Marina house is full of pleasing details, like rich hardwoods, rounded doorways, and even a stained-glass window or two, making the $130,000 bump over ask no surprise here. The floors are recently refurbished, but we spotted a few bathrooms that likely haven't been touched since the 70s—lots of "period" lino and Pepto-pink tile to be had here as well.

Listed for: $2.495M
Received: $2.2M
Size: 1-bed, 1-bath, 1,000-square-foot single-family home
Location: 271 Upper Ter, Buena Vista Park
The skinny: We've been watching 1-beds go for $1M, and this unstaged "starter" home in Buena Vista Park went for more than two. Should we even be relieved that it sold for $295,000 under the asking price? At $2,200 per square, at least you're getting your own house and not just another condo.

Listed for: $1.699M
Received: $1.925M
Size: 5-bed, 3.5-bath, 2,978-square-foot single-family home
Location: 475 37th Ave, Outer Richmond
The skinny: Last sold in 1988 for $525,000, this Edwardian on the avenues went for $226,000 more than the list price. The brokerbabble talks up the crown moldings and marble fireplace, but all we see is beige static, thanks to photos that look as though they were shot from behind a scrim of carpet pile.
