As part of Outdoors Week 2014, Curbed searched for the best dog park in San Francisco. Four contenders made the cut, and today we announce the winner of the poll.
The human companions of San Francisco's furry friends have spoken: Fort Funston is the best dog park in San Francisco. Fort Funston dominated the competition by securing more than 50 percent of the vote. From one of the readers who nominated Fort Funston:
My dog Hubert and I personally love Fort Funston. With all that land, it's never crowded and you feel like you have the entire park to yourself. It's a beautiful retreat on the coast and a quick drive from the city.It went up against Crissy Field, Huntington Park, and Corona Heights Park. It should also be mentioned that Fort Funston was the winner of the best dog park poll back in 2011 during Curbed's first-ever Outdoors Week, so the force is strong with this one. Now go hug a dog!
