Low inventory has been a major contributor to the rapid rise in Bay Area home prices over the past two years, so it may come as a relief to hear that home sales were up slightly in June. However, despite this small increase, numbers of sales remain below long-term levels, with 7,915 houses and condos sold across the region during June. Prices also continued to increase, although at a much lower rate than in 2013. [SF Appeal]
