San Francisco has the highest concentration of designers in the US, and creative class cheerleader Richard Florida has the charts to prove it. Florida measured the concentrations of professionals including interior designers, architects, and industrial designers and found, well, everyone else wanting compared with SF. "While it is commonly assumed that the media and fashion mecca of New York or the movie capital of Los Angeles have the leading design clusters," writes Florida, "San Francisco is the nation's leading design capital."
