New Buildings Planned for Narrow Hayes Valley Lots

Rendering via Build Inc
Hot on the heels of the exciting new renderings of Central Freeway Parcel T, designs for adjacent parcels S & R have now been revealed. Build Inc. plans to fill in the lots with two new buildings designed by Hayes Valley-based Macy Architecture. The project on parcel S is designed to look like multiple structures, so as to fit in with the skinny victorians that surround it. The project will feature ground-floor retail space, and will pack in a combined 50 new residential units. According to the Chronicle, some units will qualify as "group housing", while others will be marketed as "private suites". Private or not, all of the apartments will be narrow, since the buildings' widths clock in at only 24 feet.
