The world's first subway-responsive light sculpture may be headed to Market Street, brought by the same team that created The Bay Lights on the Bay Bridge. The new sculpture will visualize the real-time movement of the street's underground trains via two LED strings that stretch from Van Ness Avenue to the Embarcadero. The piece is meant to celebrate the 40th anniversary of BART and the 100th anniversary of Muni. [Thelightrail.org]
