What is happening at the corner of 7th and Brannan? Its an old auto shop and cafe that's boarded up. Looks like demolition or construction is about to begin as a piece of heavy equipment is on site. Our reader is correct - new construction is brewing. The 1930 existing building will be demo'd to make room for a new one-story building with a mezzanine, about 40' tall. The new building would have five tenant spaces, each with a roll-up door and partial second-floor mezzanine area. No word yet on who'd moving in, but the area is zoned for light industrial.
