A desolate piece of land sandwiched between the Presidio YMCA and Lincoln Boulevard will be radically transformed by next summer. Over the course of the coming months, the Presidio Trust will daylight a creek that flows through pipes currently buried deep beneath the site, and add native vegetation and public trails around it. This portion of a larger project, known as the Tennessee Hollow Watershed Restoration, will add 1.5 acres of riparian and seasonal freshwater wetland to the area. The improvements will complement the extensive wetland restoration project set to occur in tandem with opening of the newly redesigned Presidio Parkway. Assuming all goes as planned, nature buffs will be hiking the new creekside trails at Tennessee Hollow by Summer of 2015.
