Attention, would-be Curbed bloggers: effective this very second, we're looking for a San Francisco resident that's mainlined into the soul of the city to take over the job of Curbed SF editor. After running the site for more than three years, Curbed SF's current editor Sally Kuchar is transitioning into a larger role at Curbed. Are you obsessed with all things neighborhoods, development, and real estate? Are you a quick, efficient writer comfortable managing freelancers and photographers while turning out newsy stories all day long? Do you have strong feelings about any slight architectural change to the waterfront? If the answers are yes, yes, and yes, read on.
First, you need to live in San Francisco and, at some deep level, love San Francisco. We're hoping to find someone obsessed with some combination of the ins and outs of neighborhoods, real estate, architecture, design, parks, photography, history, and urban planning. Interest in social media —e.g., you use Twitter and enjoy it—is also a plus, as the gig involves a few responsibilities in that sphere. The job is full-time, salary is commensurate with experience, and there are health benefits.
To apply, e-mail jobs@curbed.com with the subject line "Curbed SF Editor"; include a paragraph about yourself and a paragraph about why you want the gig. If you've got a blog or clips, please include a link to them as well. Previous journalism experience and an obsession with the current state of the residential real estate market are major plusses. No resumes, please. If we like what we see, we'll be in touch quickly. Please note: realtors are ineligible for this gig. (But we still love you.) Thanks.
