A Lot for Lucas

San Francisco will officially offer Star Wars creator George Lucas a prime $30 million waterfront spot for the museum of his art and memorabilia collection. The lot, now empty, sits across the Embarcadero from Piers 30 and 32 and is known as Seawall Lot 330. Lucas has plans to spend $700 million of his own money on the museum, but Chicago is also competing to host it. [SFGate]
