A new survey of Caltrain's growing ridership has found that the average age of riders is falling and that average income is rising. Since 2010, the average age of Caltrain riders has decreased from 37.2 to 36.7 while average income grew from $104,000 to $117,000. More than a third of Caltrain riders have been using the system for less than one year, and 60% choose to take the train to avoid traffic. [SF Business Times]
