Envisioning Density

New, 1 comment

A team at David Baker Architects set out to imagine what San Francisco would look like with housing as dense as that of Manhattan and found that it wouldn't have to be that different from the city today. The team mocked up several different versions of the city, from one with high-rises like those of Hong Kong and New York to one in which buildings were only slightly taller than those of today. Manhattan housing is currently four times as dense as that in San Francisco. [Fast CoExist]
