The Battle of Cathedral Hill

As the controversial 36-story condo tower proposed for Cathedral Hill heads for its environmental review, the neighboring seniors' community Sequoias has hired architecture firm Heller Manus to create an alternative design for the site. The tower as planned by developer Adco would rise 416 feet, well beyond the 240-foot height limit now in place. Sequoias' replacement design would be 240 feet and cut the number of units from 262 to 187. [SF Business Times]
