1634 Pine Looks for Approvals, Releases New Renderings

New, 6 comments

1634-1690 Pine Street from Kwan Henmi has been in the works for years now, and is looking to wrap up environmental review and all the necessary Planning Commission approvals tomorrow. Currently the site includes five vacant buildings and a parking lot, but the project would demolish most of the buildings and construct two 13-story residential towers with ground floor retail, 262 units, and parking for 245 cars. Three of the existing building façades would be restored and incorporated into the proposed project. Since the existing buildings are part of the eligible Pine Street Auto Shops Historic District, the Final EIR found effects to historic architectural resources and traffic, so the Commission will have to give that the OK and also approve the project itself. · 1634-1690 Pine Street approvals [SF Planning]
